Welcome. We're glad you’re here.

We are very excited to continue to ongoing hosting of this colleague discussion group and hope that it can serve as a platform for curious minds to exchange thoughts & ideas related to the intersections of Veterinary Medicine and Psychedelics.

We are a gathering of animal health professionals and students curious how psychedelic medicine may affect our patients and beyond.

Harm Reduction Education (HRE) & Clinical Preparedness

There is a lot happening in psychedelic spaces around the world and things are moving quickly!

And as things move with increasing speed, we are learning more about the psychedelic spillover effects onto animals. We have long known this emerging field will have effects on our animal patients and our community is beginning to see both evident harm, but also therapeutic potential.

With both harm and help potentials, we are excited at the potential some of these medicines may offer our animal patients and our greater animal-care profession, and we strongly propose beginning these discussions with a focus on harm reduction and professional education.

Bring Your Perspective

There is a lot to discuss and navigate as animal care professionals and building a community with a diverse range of perspectives is important to us.

These gatherings feature short, facilitated discussions on emerging topics of interest, case studies, and review of current scientific literature.

This group is geared towards animal health professionals and no previous psychedelic knowledge or experience is required. If you do not have an animal health background, but are still interested in participating in animal-related conversations in on these topics - please reach out. We intend for this group to be an inclusive and safe space for all who wish to share in this conversation.

The intention of this group is to create the discussion framework together - building on the questions, concerns, and curiosities that arise in each meeting. Short presentations will be shared each week along with recommended readings and space for questions and discussion.
